Miso, chile paste, soy sauce, ginger and garlic amp up store-bought chicken stock to give you a jump on a comforting bowl of ramen. Fresh ramen noodles are a nice touch, but dried will also work nicely. Make the pork meatballs up to 3 days ahead, cool and refrigerate. Let them come to room temperature before adding them to your ramen bowl.

Shichimi togarashi is a chile-pepper-based Japanese seasoning blend. You can find it in Asian markets and many supermarkets. Use poached, soft-cooked or hard-boiled eggs as you prefer. Change up the vegetables as you like—stir-fried spinach or green beans are nice here too. The broth is spiked with gochujang, a Korean chile paste that the National Restaurant Association named a hot trend for 2022.
